# Team and roles

> Invite teammates to your workspace and control what each person can do with Owner, Admin, Staff, Viewer, and custom roles.

Go to **Settings → Team** to manage who has access to your workspace.

## Invite a member

**1. Open Members**

In **Settings → Team**, stay on the **Members** tab and click **Invite member**.

**2. Enter details**

Enter the teammate's **Email** and choose a **Role**. The dialog shows what the role can and can't do.

**3. Send**

Click **Send invitation**. You can change the role later under **Members**.

The members table shows each person's name, email, role, and status.

## Built-in roles

Roles sit on a ranked ladder. A **lower rank means more authority**, and a role can only manage members ranked below it.

**Owner (rank 0)**

**Sole account with full team control.** Best for the person who registered the workspace.

**Can:**

* Do everything an Admin can, plus manage Admins and transfer ownership
* Invite or remove Admins, Staff, and Viewers
* Change any member's role (except creating a second Owner)

**Can't:**

* Leave the Owner role without transferring ownership to an Admin (email OTP required)

**Admin (rank 100)**

**Full workspace access with peer limits.** Best for trusted leads who run the workspace day to day.

**Can:**

* Use billing, settings, integrations, and all operational features
* Invite members as Admin, Staff, or Viewer
* Change or remove Staff and Viewer members

**Can't:**

* Remove or change the Owner
* Remove or change other Admins
* Promote anyone to Owner (the Owner must transfer)

**Staff (rank 200)**

**Runs day-to-day operations.** Best for operators and agents who run campaigns and handle calls.

**Can:**

* Manage leads, campaigns (including start and pause), calls, assistants, meetings, and the knowledge base
* View phone numbers, integrations, and dashboards

**Can't:**

* Access billing and the wallet
* Invite or remove members, or edit roles
* Manage API keys or connect integrations

**Viewer (rank 300)**

**View-only access.** Best for people who review data without making changes.

**Can:**

* View leads, campaigns, call history, and dashboards

**Can't:**

* Create or update records, start campaigns, place calls, or change settings

Click **View full permission list** on any role in the **Roles** tab for the complete breakdown.

## Custom roles

The Owner can add custom roles in the gaps between built-in ranks. For example, a role at rank 150 sits between Admin and Staff. Go to **Settings → Team → Roles** and click **Create role**.

## Transfer ownership

Ownership moves only through **Transfer ownership**, which is confirmed with an email OTP. Transfer to an existing Admin.
